Akina Yamazaki is a student in the Actor Training Program at the University of Utah. Her most recent performances include The Old Man and The Old Moon (Cookie/Lucy Puppeteer) at the Babcock Theatre, How Flowers Bloom (Janie), an original production written by Olivia C. Smith at The Alliance Theatre, Much Ado About Nothing (Hero) at Kaiserslautern Military Community Onstage, and Sweeney Todd (Toby) at Kaiserslautern Military Community Onstage. Akina’s turn as Hero earned a nomination for “Best Youth Actress in a Play” at the 2019 TOPPERs (US Army IMCOM-Europe Entertainment Tournament of Plays).
