Hi, my name is Noodles and I'm two years old. I've taken on the responsibility of writing this blog because both of my parents are currently far too busy with rehearsals for "Go,Dog. Go!" to do it themselves!
My mom, Deena Marie Manzanares is playing Blue Dog and from what I've overheard at home, it's one of the most fun shows she's ever been involved in! She says it's an intense non stop workout! The actors never stop moving and it's very high energy. She thinks people of all ages will enjoy it, and without giving too much away, she says that what she gets to do in the "Dogs at work" scene is just about her favorite thing she's ever done in a show!
I also take it that the set, props and costumes are pretty amazing and look like cartoons brought to life. I think she wants to take the set home for me...including one of the giant dog houses onstage so it can be my summer home...but my dad says we don't have enough room.
This brings me to my talented dad, David Evanoff who is the music director! He is a one man band, onstage the entire time playing the keyboard and accordion while dressed as a snazzy purple dog!
They're working so hard! My poor mom is all bruised up and even lost a toenail in this process! When they come home at night, the show is all they talk about...and they can't get the music out of their heads, so I think they are pretty freaking excited!
Needless to say, I couldn't be prouder of them in their dog show. Of all animals to be portraying, it just doesn't get better than this! Good thing they have me to inspire them! My mom told me she is basing her character off of me.
So hurry up and get your tickets! Be a part of history as an attendee of SLAC's first ever childrens show!
I have it on very good authority it's a lovely little piece full of magic... you can't not love it!

Noodles McCartney Evanoff
